Producer / Cinematographer
Agape is a freelance cinematographer and producer. He holds a BFA in Digital Film from AIU, where he graduated summa cum laude. His camera work—ranging from documentaries and TV shows to commercials and sports entertainment—has taken him to more than 20 countries around the world.
He was raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where his parents ran a non-profit organization and strived to share hope in the face of brokenness and pain. It was there, at a young age, that Agape developed his passion for music, culture, film, and travel. His parents were critically injured in the 2010 earthquake, a turning point that led him to call South Florida home after living in various parts of the U.S. and the Dominican Republic. Fault of Freedom is a retelling of Barb and Patrick's story, one small picture in the greater narrative of Haiti's pursuit of liberty in the midst of suffering.
Agape’s passion is to tell stories through the art of media and to harness its power to inspire and innovate. He believes that stories carry societies and individuals alike toward self-discovery, growth, and purpose—a belief that led him to found Agape Media Group.
Director / Editor
Simone Jude is a film director whose experience spans from internationally distributed feature films to television advertisements with a more recent emphasis on short form documentaries. In 2020, she founded Crown Shine Studios, a creative video agency in San Francisco, to create video content for forward thinking organizations and change-makers in social justice, health, and social impact.
This is Jude's third feature documentary film. Her directorial debut, Immaculate Confession, a feature documentary film about Catholic priests and nuns who fell in love and married in the 60s, premiered at the United Nations Association Film Festival and showed internationally. Her second feature documentary, Public Sex, Private Lives, follows the personal lives of three adult film performers required to defend their choices to their families, communities, and the U.S. government, and is distributed internationally.
Simone Jude's early passion for documentary propelled her to study film at both the University of Southern California and New York University - Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in film and television production.
Jude is thrilled to collaborate with co-director and cinematographer Agape Lataillade to tell the riveting story of his parents' survival story in the 2010 Haiti earthquake alongside the country's ongoing struggle for freedom and sovereignty.
